Hi all. As I have always stressed, hotshoeshots is about what you want from the site. I will devote as much of my time as possible to bring this about. So again post here with your wish list and lets see if we can make it happen.
Video will be served on the new sister site coming in a few days.
Some of the things in the pipe line are:
1. Blogs - list of new blogs with links.
2. Notification of new comment posted on your profile.
3. Warning and penalty for constant 1 voting.
4. Picture post date rather than join date in the newest lists.
5. Extend the ability of the Site assistants to upgrade members and to suspend members with web shots / copyrighted images in their profile

On the Newest Pics section I would like to the see the date of the pic added instead of when someone joined.
Also when clicking on a new picture , the picture should be already selected when you go to the users profiles by clicking on th new picture, or instead of showing each picture that was added, maybe just show the members profile that has new pictures.

Yes, I've got the first one: show the post date not the join date.
I will take a look at the link direct to the image and agree that this would be much better.

A select all checkbox on the message inbox.
Note: to keep the sent messages box clear please keep your own inbox clear, as deleting the message from the inbox deletes it from the other members outbox. Simples.

Leaving the Channel box blank, so members submitting new photos have to select a Channel to submit the photo to. Mine is set on High Heeled Shoes (don't know why) and sometimes in my haste, have not changed the channel to submit a picture to the correct category.

OK got it. I'll take a look at this.
General info for everyone: to change your channel go to 'Your Profile' on the top left menu and alter Your favourite interest to the channel your prefer.
As Spikes points out, the default channel when you upload a new image is the one that your profile is in.
SJ Update: Channel has to be selected prior to uploading a new pic.

I intend to bring this with the second site. this one has a pretty clunky table based code. I'm not ruling it out for hotshoeshots but it will take a quite a time to do.

Just another 2 more afterthoughts.
It would great to have the ability to delete old sent messages. It would help reduce space on the server.
Another feature that would be nice is ability to un-send messages not yet opened. I would have done this at least twice today, lol.

Yes you're right. The message boxes need some additions. The interesting thing is that the sent messge and the received message are actually one and the same piece of data that appears in the senders outbox and the receivers inbox at the same time. Hence when a member deletes from their inbox it deletes from the recipients outbox.
Having a select all checkbox would be a help, and as you say the ability to do the same in the sent box.

These have already been mentioned, but I'd like to add my endorsement for:
1: The ability to reclassify a picture's channel.
2: The ability to change picture order... I'm big on this one in particular.
ALSO,
I have on idea on voting! Instead of just "How hot and horny is that? (10 = Meltdown!)" and seeing our typical 1-10, let's add a very obvious "SKIP" or "NEXT" button right by the scale.
Just as we track each picture's votes, we SEPARATELY track each picture's skips! Do the same for profiles; show votes and ratings just as we do now, then show the number of "skips."
My thought is that VOTES measure opinion, from like to dislike. SKIPS measure the lack of opinion, or an image's ability to provoke any response at all.
To be clear: "skips" would not be tallied with votes, and would not affect your rating. But by displaying them publicly, like votes, the owner as well as the viewers of a profile could see how much interest a pic generated, again without penalizing the rating.
I think this system plus a penalty for constant "1 voting" would ease of lot of the issues people have with the voting system.

As you can probably tell, I have been implementing many of the features that members have requested and some more besides. I will update you as I work through the list.
The latest changes are:
Select all options on the inboxes.
Select and select all on the outboxes (now you can unsend a message).
New featured profile layout on the home page to give even more members a chance to be seen.
Improved code to allow use of " in image descriptions (now you can say 6" heels without it jamming your images)
Description shown when you mouse over an image.
Optional shoe size question in the profile.
Last online date.

What great ideas and the site looks and feels just amazing.
For me i would love to see the monthly competition back on here, it was good when it started but i understand it does need regular time spent on it. I'd be happy to help out with it in anyway i could.

The major problem with the competition was that it used one of the categories, and was therefore open to misunderstanding. The way to do it properly would be to have a dedicated competition category, and be able to move one asnd only one image from your collection into it each month.
I am currently looking at totally revamping the image system so will take a look to see what could be done for the competion.
First things first so let me complete the image side of things.

What your saying seems to make perfect sense to me, i still think it's a great fun idea and another way to get more members interactive in a fairly simple way.

I had no time today to read all wishes posted but my wants would still be the photo Scroll feature so we can click through a members entire album without manually going up and down after every single look at each single photo.
And of course dont forget that auto shaggin feature so I can pull out each foot and sexy heel right out of my monitor!!! Keep up the great work, we love it all....STU

Something has to be done about pictures going into the default users channel. Just take a look at the Show Fucking channel and the newest pictures have nothing to do about shoe fucking.
When a user adds a picture I think the Channel should be blank and the user must pick the appropiate channel before it is allowed to be added. It should not default to the User Fav channel as it does now.

Update: Sorted; a channel has to be selected prior to uploading a new pic.
Future development: Putting tags into the images so that they are not just in one category.

As you have probably noticed I have now completed two additional image function:
The first and most obvious is being able to show as many images on each page of a profile as you want. This speeds up the site for members on slower connections where the profile has hundreds of pics.
This is just the first step on improving the image functions for the profiles. There is more to come.
The second function is the ability to report web finds and professional images that have no place here on hotshoeshots. It is important to weed these images out as they pose a risk to the site.
This function is not turned on by default and must be applied for.
To do so go to the member area and click on the offer help button.
