I have noticed that quite a few people trying to sell shoes for other members to enjoy, how about setting up a "for sale" catagory so anyone interested in buying or selling would have a single point to go to, it would be great to be able to post pics of items for sale too but that that may not be possible ( SJ to advise on the idea maybe) Sorry if it's more work SJ!!! What does anyone else think about that?

Sounds like a great idea. The best part would be that you could show uncensored pictures unlike Ebay.

Hi I am a fairly new member but I agree with Cathy C and every body else it would be great idea to have a for sale section but don’t know if a auction or a fixed price would be better or we could have both like they do on eBay with option to buy it now just a thought.

When i posted my first message idea on this subject my idea was that the site just became to place to advertise, it would be up to the individual as to the terms and conditions they placed on the sale, IE fixed price, auction etc

Paypal is a problem to your point of anonymity. If someone pays by paypal they will have your full name and address and you will have theirs. Of course you need theirs to send the shoes too - but to protect our femal selves - do we really want our names and addresses going out to people on this site. I know I wouldnt.
So any anonymity you would like is straigh out of the window hun.
A price we have to consider when weighing up the advantages of secure payment. x

I think cathy's point is the best really. All we need is a category for shoes - the way they are bought and exchanged is between two people.
I know my friend m9136r took about 3 weeks to sell some of her most admired shoes on here becasue people wernt really aware - yet when people ask and she says she sells them all on ebay folk complain saying they wish they knew etc. So just a place to specifically advertis would be great for us all. x

Thanks, iio58, thats just how i assumed it would work, just useing the site as a shop window. Keeping your details secret is a problem, and im not sure how best to get round it, maybe shoes can be shown on here but with a note saying that they are on ebay and giving insructions of how to get to them? Maybe SJ would like to let us know what he has planned ?

Hi all Sorry to take so long to reply - rushing around like a mad thing at the mo. I have noted all the comments re shoe sale and will bring you all up to date with my thoughts. I can put together an ebay lookalike for us with most of the ebay features. With regards to Paypal and info. 1. Paypal will only accept payment from 'non adult' sites (unless they own them) so we would have to moderate so some degree to be able to use the service. 2. The issue of divulging address details is always a difficult one - if you buy something then someone will have to know your address. If you sell an item the address is not known. The plus side of using the Paypal system is that you have an element of assurance that the person is genuine. In addition there would be a member rating similar to ebay to weed out any dodgy folk. 3. I have not worked out the logistics of acting as an intermediary nor the cost implications yet. Perhaps we could put our heads together on this one. For example: if I was to act as a mailbox then items from the states would have to come to the UK and then be forwarded onto the purchaser who could be back in the States. If it were possible the best solution would be to have a designated member within the Country. A beta test site is almost ready, I am in process of configuring it.
