There is not much that needs to be changed to be honest.
The only thing I can think of is a stricter policy on webshots and I don't give a thing about guys in heels, there are enough TV/CD groups and sites already, but that is personal perhaps...

I was away from this site for a couple of weeks and am just catching up.
A bit disappointed to see that some are not happy with this site. I think it is an incredible site and to the credit of Shoejack, just look at how the numbers have grown in just over 6 months.
I'm not sure what a second site can bring to the experience.
I too, have the same problems with pics stolen from other sites. The originals are the best and I rate them higher.
As for the categories, I'm glad there are more categories, but I would like to see a way in which your pictures can be re-categorized without deleting them and starting over.
Many of us loaded our pictures when there were fewer categories and with the new ones, some pictures are in the wrong place.
Since I have an attraction to pumps, I like the scan the "Shoes" category. It is frustrating to see so many pictures in this category that are not pumps.

i understand a lot of the comments here, but do remember that a lot of men here dont have women to model their shoe collections so would they be ommited from any site for that? if so, u wouldnt have many members..and if they are a bit too the point with commenting on how they would like to use yr shoes, maybe its because they mean it as a compliment? the majority of members are men, they are the ones who are sexually aroused by the sight of womens shoes. as a woman here u have to understand this for what it is surely, and also understand that men arent here to ask if youve had a nice day. its not a dating site or friends reunited after all... :-) its the real weirdos u want to keep out, and they can be spotted a mile off dont u think?

Yuu missunderstand my point. Yourself and your husband do what you do as you likeit which is great - and yes I know that a lot of men do not have women to model for them - but then why post hundreds of pics of just shoes with cum on them? Its not sexy and seems to be the majority of the site.
Of course we are all free here to do as we will, and you and your husband are very lucky to share in what you do - and the pics you post are great becasue it involves women which is part is what this is mainly about.
Even since posting that message tonight I have had 2 more emails saying how glad they are I finally have said what many have been thinking - one a regaular female, and a regular male.
So we all understand what this is about - and think this site is great - however the point is that if we are going to have a 2nd site - what to have on it and why have it different.
In my opinion - and many menbers opinions who keep confirming to me, keep this site as it so wonderfully is yes, but if we are going to have a second site them it can be tailored more to how the regular members want it - so if guys want tp post hundres of pics with cum on shoes fine - do it here. If folk want to post images they have found across they net which anyone can find - fine, do it here.
But for those of us who are lucky enough to be able to provide feminie and sexy original pictures, male or female - then that is what a second site should bea bout. Stronger moderation and regulation to keep everybody happy/ 2 places for 2 different sets of wants/needs and expectations? After all, that way no one loses, we all win by having places more suited to our individual tastes and styles, and what we actually want to see, not forgetting - what we dont want to see either. : - )

i agree totally with yr comments about non original pcitures, but i too have spoken to male and female regulars, and the major concern is not that they receive unwanted messages or are appalled at cum shots, but that the rating system is putting them off posting their original pictures and in some cases causing them or their partners to leave altogether, maybe that could be sorted out better on the new site??

I do agree with you on that score certainly. It is confusing to some members how they see the ratoing bar on a pic, they think it is for that pic only and not a menmber as a whole which can be missleading.
WHat is also insulting however is that you get women posting sexy pictures, yet blokes wearing shoes gets even higher ratings which has questioned several things to me about people on this site haha.
WHat is sexier - a woman wearing heels or a man? Of most I spek to it is the women - but it seems if you are a guy and have cum on them you can get 10's most of the time - but try being a creative and original femal you are lucky if you get 6's or 7's. From what ive heard from different folk anyway. SO yes - maybe this is something we can address too.
As for Cathy - what a star! And maybe you are right - perhaps this is the most thats been written anywhere here with no mention suxual intent toward eachother! hahahahah : - )

Well I personally have no problem with the cross dressing. They have their own catagory now anyways. Plus, some guys like to show they like heels and want to show it by wearing them. The thing that erks me is that people just keep uploading shots from sites that don't even belong to them. So far I noticed like 10 profiles that have photos from the same two sites. Sometimes the exact same ones! I'm also wondering who keeps giving the original photos really low ratings, but seems to be giving the ripped ones rather high ratings. Not htat ratings do much for me, since I know if someone really likes my pics, they'll leave a comment, but because of this behavior we lost some really great posters, like theresa heels (I hope I spelled that right, sorry if I didn't.)

Sorry for adding more to the post, but I feel that I should add this in there. Why not scrap the current ratings system as we know it? It seems to me that it has done nothing but trouble. One thing I think we can do is just leave comments about photos showing our opinions. But if ratings are really that important on this site (which I doubt they are), then why not make a comment mandatory for a rating. That way, the person giving out 1s and 2s can explain why they have chosen such low ratings and opposite of that too.

I agree with what you say to some extent but I can mention that - making comments mandatory could have a negative effect becasue if the person posting a pic takes comments badly they will not post again.
I think you are right that if there were no ratings - people send you emails compliment your pics which is great - and thankfully they dont email to slag yuou off or offend you. But I fear if comments were mandatory on pics it may lead to a lot of negatvity. Perhaps something to consider? Just a thought. Like I say - those who like our pics email us to tell us so - which is lovely.

i dont know if its more a woman thing that the ratings seem to mean so much... its irksome to say the least when a pic gets 9 x 10's and then a 1 or a 2... i just dont understand why someone thinks they have to rate that badly.... its bin said before... if u dont like it dont rate it!! but as long as u cant tell who is doing it... its gonna continue and unfortunately people will continue to leave which is a shame. as for catergories... i do find them so confusing lol... there are so many, but conversely not enough, or not specific enough, any thoughts on that??

Hmm, perhaps there is a way we can find out who is leaving ratings, but without them having to leave a comment or scrapping the system all togeather. Some forum software I've seen has a option for polls where you can see who voted and what they voted for. Perhaps the site can get something like that, and who is doing this crap will get caught out. Now that I think on the very subject of this, didn't Shoejack say that he was going to ban anyone who kept giving out unreasonable low ratings?

Its great to see that we are having a real discussion about the site's direction and what we would want out of a second site.
Firstly - why a second site?
The present site is great - it allows good communication at the level that you want with whom you want (don't forget - if you don't want to receive messages from a particular member just add them to your banned members list)
The rating system can be turned on or off. The rating system does also serve another function: it highlights profiles and pictures of members who's pages would otherwise be missed.
But.. the present format has some limitations:
It can't run video clips.
I can't grant proper admin rights to the members.
We can't pull in feeds from other sources.
We can't offer items for sale or swops.
The layout of the present site is also quite fixed.
I am thinking of a site that has all of the above features and many more.
I believe that there are two distinct types of visitor to hotshoeshots:
Those who drop by and expect everything for nothing - they make no attempt at contributing to the site and do little to enhance it. They post pictures of cats or ferrets or web shots (you wouldn't believe the amount of crap that I filter out) and those who are genuine members and make excellent contributions. (You know who you are, and I would like to take the opportunity of thanking you for all your input as it is your efforts that makes this such a dynamic site.)
I have always tried to allow the site to reflect the genuine members interests, incorporating your suggestions wherever possible.
I have steered away from rules and regulations wherever possible - our respective Governments heap enough of that shit on us without me adding to the pile.
Having an open and immediately accessible site does cause some problems however. I have to log into the admin area to sort out the mess every couple of hours, and again I thank those of you who alert me to the next posting of a child or the reappearance of the Nazi Officer (old members will have seen this ghostly apparition reappear whenever a particular shoeshots fan from China tries to rejoin.)
Bandwidth. Definition: A measure of the capacity of a communications channel directly linked to Shoejacks premature ageing process (grey hairs, senility etc).
The present site continues to grow and grow, and so does it's bandwidth usage. On the next round we will probably have to have a full dedicated server to run it.
I am happy and able to cover the financial costs of running the present site, assisted by the occasional subscription (again, many thanks to those who have made such contributions - without it we would not be able to offer the free access that allows members from all Nations to participate, regardless of their incomes)
The second site, however, will also be running videos which EAT bandwidth.
I propose that we Beta test and develop a second site that addresses many of the topics already discussed in this forum.
The new site will aslo run on a free basis until we can establish a measure of its bandwidth requirement.
Then by sharing the cost we will have a high quality shoe community site with a nominal annual membership fee.
That would also deter the passing chancers that cause so much dispute and disruption to the present site.
If any of you have made it this far (yawn) I would be pleased to hear your comments.

What you say sounds perfectly fine to myself. I have never in my ten years of using the internet paid for membership for a site - becaue most adult sites are in it for the money so is a complete turn off foe me as it is so false.
This however I would have no problem paying a contibution to - as I know it is actual lovers who are in here and not pro's taking pics. If the second site incorporates video then that would be amazing - yet a gain careful consideration of video category would be needed. And YES, it would eat bandwidth - so as I say, I think what you suggest is a great idea and im sure the srious regulars would agree - as like you say-it would weed out the "chancers" who come and ruin things sometimes.

Perhaps we can limit the videos to actual clips of women in heels - shoe play etc, done by members. Not clips nicked off the net like pics are.
I agree - we dont really want just endles videos of people cumming all over shoes and "fucking" them etc.

We could create a 'community' of linked sites each with a direct theme eg. shoe fucking or ladies in heels etc and you can log into one site and still be logged in when you visit the next. Each can have it's own content, blogs news etc.

How about a vip area.
Users dont post many original shots because they dont have to. They post a few webshots and are then able to view all the great shots that other people go to the trouble of taking. Why bother taking your own shots when you can view other peoples shots for free.
Some of us post our shots for like minded people but thats not what you get on this site, there are the posters and the lookers. Why do the lookers get the same access to photos as the posters???
In a vip area, posters would be posting in an area for like minded people who share pics and not posting for people who dont post same.
Looked at new shots today and someone has uploaded a picture of an atlas???. Why should he get to see aany pics on this site??
VIP area would encourage people to post original shots so they could get access to original shots.
People who post should get to see photos and no one else!!!
This is why I get pissed off with ratings, I post pics for like minded people to rate and infact my pics are being rated by some bloke wearing heels with a shoe up his arse tossing into a trainer at his grans house.
Ratings only work if you are posting for like minded people and we are not.

Just a quick comment - on the present site those who post web shots/ professional pics don't get full membership so can't see all the pics. Only members who post their own original material get their memberships upgraded.

It's very hard to spot some web pics I would think if they are cropped or ebay pics then they will carry no copyright bits. I always think if someone posts 1 pic of a fab pair of shoes then they cant really have the shoes, one is never enough surely!! Are these taken into account as web pics? Some people have nothing but single pics of fab shoes, so they would not have any access to other pics?
How about we start a Ban the dodgey boxers campaign !! What do you think YM LOL

Well all I can say is its great to see people talking and enjoying this topic.
When I sent an email to SJ persoannly prior to this - I didnt get a good response hahah. However he immediatly apoligised as way having a bad day like we all do and gave me some really good informaiton and help. So thanks for this SJ

Some great suggestions again - and I did notice at the start that acces was restricted - but I did not know that even if somone posted 20 internet pics they were still restricted so that is great. Like yourmale states - we are doing this for like minded people. But with so many people on here with different tastes - they should just stick to raitng their topic. I.e. the shoefuckers who only love cum on shoes-dont bother rating pics of just a girl wearing her own sexy shoe sif it does nothing for you. THat way everyones happy - for now at least.
But then hey - you cant please all the people all of the time - and if we could, we we wouldnt be talking here would we so its not all bad I guess :-) hee hee. x

Well it's been a really good thread to follow, we can be grown up at times can't we boys and girls. LOL
Couple of things I would like to note:-
Firstly, it would seem that the most brought up issue is web pics, it seems the one thing we all agree on, so maybe thats where we could start even on this original site. But how do we do anything without running to SJ on a daily basis, should it include ebay pics and web pics without copyright logo?
I'd be happy to help stop these if there was anything I could do? SJ to advise maybe?
Could it be that new members must have there first 20 posts cleared for suitabillity before granting full membership and even the first post to stop the silly cartoons etc form appearing, or is this not feasable given the time it would take?
Although this thread has been really good, it's a shame that it is mostly the same people posting there thoughts and ideas, how do we get others to input? I dont know anyone got any ideas? Maybe using polls to find out what peoples likes and dislikes about the site are may stimulate a few new ideas
Thats enough of my waffle for now I'd like to keep this thread running so come on, anyone who has some thoughts lets have them ( as long as you all agree with me thats fine) LOL

Thanks Cathy for your comments and suggestions. Web shots are a problem area - some genuine members also post web finds that they wish to share. Previously I was a lot tougher on these images and unapproved most of them, especially if they displayed copyright notices.
Some new members think that if they post twenty images of anything, web shots or total crap then the system will automatically let them in. Of course that is not the case. I look at the pics and grant the member upgrade based on the images they post. Its a tough job, but some one has to do it ;-)
I will go along with the members consensus on this - if we all think that there is no place for web/professional images on this site then I will delete those I find.
Second site:
The frame for the new site is up and running. This week I will put some artwork/images onto it and it will be ready for your first inspection.
I am still having issues with video.
As it stands we will be able to post pics, pull images from flickr, videos from utube, etc.
I am being told that the demands on a shared server may be too great to be able to upload and run videos in a self contained gallery.
I will attempt to crack that one later in the week.

well a lot of that went totally over my head regarding hardware lol... not the kind of hardware im used to :-) as for web pix, some shots are really amazing and horny, so it would be a shame to miss them.... i think its the rating thing again... wen a web pic is marked higher than an original one... this is goin round and round and maybe the system that exists here cannot be bettered, personally i like the ratings system and would hate it to go.... once you get over the fact that there are nutters who rate 1's for fun, its nice to be admired.... lets face it if we all got tens there would be nothin else to aim for, healthy competition is cool and i think there is a lot to learn from the professional pix....

I will agree with SH, we can learn alot from the pro shots but maybe they should be clearly marked as what they are and not rated as such. Same of the ebay pics, some are also good pics but someone can just download 20 and hey presto full member, no effort in that at all. Maybe they should have 20 originals before they can post pro shots.
I find that now there are so many pics it is almost impossible to rate a certain one that you like, unless i'm doing it wrong again!! Has anyone else tried to rate a certain pic and has to troll through for ages waiting for that persons site to pop up?

yes totally agree there Cathy... why is it so difficult to rate individual pix?? maybe the current system could be reversed ?? at the moment maybe people are rating the profile thinking its the pic you are rating, i know ive done that myself d'oh!! lol wouldnt it be simpler to be able to click on a pic and rate there and then?
