After reading the message on the site news about web pics and copyrighted pics i would like to know exactly what that means. For instance i have noticed lots of e bay pics posted, so as they are in the public domain can they be shown on here?
How about pics from on line shops such as ASOS etc. Are they not allowed on here?
I assume that any pic not taken by the person posting it is breaking copyright law?
Boring post i know but if we are having to get rid of all the web pics etc would be good to know whats what!

Clarification can't hurt but I understand what you mean about eBay pics for example. But even still, the posters know they are not their own so should not post through concience.
Also - as for retail pics like off ASOS you mention - WHY oh WHY? Any fool can go on to any retail site and look at pics like that - why should they have any place here? They are the easiest to find anyway and the least appealing as it is so clinical - just done to sell them.

Overall your points are well made & within the real purpose of this site. Posting heel festish photos & comments that are personal and original for all members to enjoy.. Net shots vs original issues:Its been reviewed and well forumed to death.
The Captain use to have a PRO shot section and many of the shots you see might be left overs from that. But yeah if a shots got a watermark or a website name on it or even a posted name on it might surely be a copywrited OR you cannot post it without permission of the owner. Many members however do like sharing special shots they find or obscure heel fetish shots. How limited should this be and then who would enforce the rules, and hassles of validations or other issue that this brings to the table. But normally and in good faith all member should post thier own heel or feet shots as thats the terms agreement when you sign up and its posted on the site right on the home page.

I guess the simple answer is to say only pics taken by the member posting them should be allowed on here, no arguments in any grey areas about copyrights etc then.
I agree that many "web" shots are great pics to see and give us ideas for how to improve our own pics, Stus' profile has some very sexy web shots, but i wonder even tho these are not watermarked if they are really allowed if it is now the firm policy of the site not to post em

monitoring of all the photos posted here that might be net shots even if they dont have watermarks? Sure sounds like your interested, please send a note to the Captain as I know he could use the help. Again you want it simple but many of the old shots have been there over 2 yrs again when we had a professioal or web category slot and it was ok to post for sharing as long as the were not copywrited. You must have had some irritation happen to you here from some other member also sorry to hear of that. Just keep it simple sounds great, less concerns about features on a free site since its working and lets all have fun and enjoy the shots and shagging and shoe jobbin...and feet going on....

Yes of course i'm happy to help out SJ as i can, i have suggested things and even posted to some members asking them to remove there obvious web pics.
My personal feeling are that i dont mind some web pics as long as there are posted along side personal pics. The best bit about the site is the fact that others enjoy the same things as i do and show us the pics too, thats what it's all about for me on here.
I hav not had any problems with members over pics, but my post was really due to the message post by SJ (actually the 2nd) about web pics and the fact that they are not allowed on the site. So i just wanted to know what is and is not classed as a copyrighted pic. In fact i'm still not sure LOL. Am i right in thinking the person who takes the photo has the copyright on that image and so any posting of pictures found on the web are in essence copyrighted?
I would hate to loose this site just because of a few pics posted that should not be on here, thats my reason for trying to get this sorted out.

i thought the idea was to send a message to a site assitant if you suspect a picture to be a web find, and it was up to them to tell SJ. That way there would be no possible confrontation.
Also, there was talk of an independent person with time on their hands to handle this job... is this not now the case??
Can we have proper direction on this please.

Hi all
I believe that it is in the interests of everyone who wishes the site to remain online to assist in the removal of non original pics from the site.
I will completely remove profiles containing non original pics, so please feel free to send messages to other members requesting the removal of non original material. It is your site too, and if you want it here tomorrow then get involved.

now some will have issues on verifiying its really a net shot or not, or that they own the shot that happens to be posted at another site by them also. But I understand the libility issues and ALL members S.B. following the rules. But a few of the members here just make it a choice to irritate others to seek out conflicts or to be a piss ass on every little comment made on a forum or mixing it up on personal opinions. That gets old man & its not fun to read either. But back to the shots yes even handed and across the board then would be one way to go so its fair to all and your sites protected as you want it done. well if it'a choice between no site at all or get rid of web pics then thats an easy choice to make. We can only get rid of the obvious pics i suppose an dhope the membership here will play the game and not post more and remove the ones they have. Like in real life we may not agree with all the rules and laws but we have to stick to them.
As for the forums, i think they can be great, we have to find ways of being able to debate and disagree without it getting to personal slagging, but some of the best posts are when we disagree without getting silly
