This story really turned me on. I've done something similar a few times myself. I like to wear nothing but a long leather coat, maybe stockings, and 5.5-inch stiletto-heeled pumps. I drive my car a little way from my house and do a walk around the block. Most of the route is through a private road, but a little stretch of it is alongside a busy main road.
The thrill comes from knowing that if a car comes along, which is likely even very late at night, I'll be completely exposed and have nowhere to hide while I'm walking down that stretch of pavement.
There's no feeling on earth like your spikes hitting the hard concrete, echoing around, and the thrill of getting further and further from safety the further you walk....

You are exactly right Heelsfan. There is something very exciting about losing the security of your car or your home when wearing heels.
I like to wear 5 inch black stiletto pumps and dress normally, then go to shopping center parking lots. I get out of the car and start walking, just to see how far away from the security of my car I can get.
Since the only unusual part of my attire is the pumps, I can usually go pretty far. Some people notice and some pepole pay no attention.
It is usually the click of the heel that gets most people's attention.
