Yes, it really pisses folk off to have a really good picture rated as a 1 or 2.
I am making some changes to the site and it has crossed my mind to put in an average score of what people vote so that other can see if the member is a persistant low voter. We all want the right to vote as we please but some people do it to offend others.

Not all pictures appeal to everyone, which is fair enough. If its not your thing, pass, don't vote on that picture at all. People take the time to post pictures for us all to enjoy, don't dis respect by giving silly 1 or 2.

I know not all pictures appeal to everyone, and not all our pictures are great, I mean go and look at the last two pictures we posted they aren't high quality, but they are real, not the internet crap people try to pass off as their own, shit we have been members for quite some time and never been picked for front page and that's ok, we enjoy sharing them, and if you really don't like the picture, or angle, or focus or something like that just pass on it, but that's just me..I guess

I'm not a statistician but I remember enough of my schoolboy maths to remember that there are some other measures aside from a simple average that are a bit more resilient to statistical "anomalies" :) Anyone know more?

Well, this topic has taken on new meaning.... one of my favourite sneaky shots finally got its first vote. A "1". WTF? Now I know everyone has there own tastes, but I *know* it deserved better than that :(

If I get 1 or 2 votes it makes me want to do it that much more. Same as if I get higher votes or none at all. I'm doing what I love. Have been doing it for years and will continue to do so without the need of someone's approval.

Yeah, the downvoters suck, but the worst offenders I think had been shaken up by shoejack after shots that shouldn't be 1s were being heavily voted as such, or long left, so it isn't like it used to (though there are people who will down-vote still cause they can. I have a few shots that get like 2 or 3 still, but most of mine seem to get good scores from fans, and I'm happy about that!)

I enjoy, love looking at all the pic that are put on here. I never give lower than a 7, then that's just coz its my personal taste. If people are keen and willing enough ( me included ) to post pictures on here then at least if you look at them, give em a score.
