Hi all,
I just want to throw this out there by getting some opinions on this particular subject.
On my way to work every morning, and often out-and-about at weekends, I'm seeing a lot more women wearing very high heel shoes (and I mean ultra sexy Louboutin-style 5-6 inch beauties).
Now, to a lot of guys, this isn't a major thing. There's a lot of guys out there who don't find shoes appealing at all (which is very odd). But, to me, its a bit more complicated and it literally throws me off course for the whole day and I'm unable to think of anything else other than that woman in those heels.
Now, I've got nothing at all against people wearing what they like in public. But, I often wonder if women 'know' how sexy they look when they wear heels, and, for what reason they wear them (especially at the workplace)?
Is it because they thoroughly enjoy exciting men and 'know' how much they turn them on, thus silently flirting?
Or, is it because its a competition thing with other women as to who has the best legs, taste in shoes etc?
Or, perhaps they don't even find any element of wearing heels 'sexual', and simply don't realise how sexy they look?
Any thoughts?

I suspect most women who wear heels do it for exactly the reasons you've given: they look and feel sexy in them, and they know they do. As indeed do we guys who wear heels!

... I know why my wife wears them. As mentioned above they make her look and feel sexy. She also loves the effect they have on me and most other men, we love seeing men stare at her legs and heels. Finally, she likes the compliments she frequently gets from women about her sexy heels, and she always tells them "thanks, my husband buys all my shoes for me."

we wear them because we love them, sex on legs :-) there are a lot about at the moment because of the fashion for platform and hidden platform heels, they are so much more comfortable to wear as the slope of the foot is a lot less so its easier to "look the business" :-)

My wife wears heels to work because their dress code says they need to look"professional". There are more woman than men were she works and most of the men complement her shoes. Female cooworkers that dont wear high heel often ask how can she walk in those heels. In her palce men do pay attention.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and contributions.
So yeah, as I suspected, women wear them mainly to add sex appeal.
I personally believe that heels above a certain height/style should be purely reserved for the bedroom - its just far too much of a tease in the workplace and around the supermarket when you're trying to do your shopping. In situations like that, all I can think about is sex with THAT woman in THOSE shoes, and I end up getting all hot, flustered and extremely turned on. It literally throws my whole day out of sync.
So, for me personally, they're more of a major distraction and inconvenience unless I'm having sex with the woman wearing them. If I catch a glimpse of a woman wearing 5inch+ heels out and about, then I literally have to go the opposite direction and avoid her.
Then again, maybe its just me that see's the overwhelming sexual element of such footwear. It surprises me that a lot of people don't see heels in this way. For me, its pornographic. I call it 'shoe porn'.

Once i complemented a young girl for her shoes. She had at least 5" closed toe black shinny pumps. she was infront of me waiting in line when i noticed her shoes and I said to her nice shoes, where did you get them? first she looked puzzle that I complemented her shoes becuase she respond to me" what did you say?". So i repeated my question, with a nervouse smile she said "thank you i gotten in California". I didnt know what to think. Maybe i had made her feel uncomfortable or what. I no longer complement anybodys shoes unles I know that person.

There’s a saying, “…if a guy notices a woman’s shoes, he’s either gay or a pervert.” That’s the stigma we shoe enthusiasts have. My girlfriend over the years has become quite the heel wearer. She has become aware of the hypnotic power that high-heels can have—almost on a subconscious level for men. She didn’t realize that it’s not something you really talk about with others. One of her girlfriends commented how much she likes her shoes (the Pink metal heeled ones in my photos called “Sperm on Delicious Shoes”), and my girlfriend replied “they’re my boyfriend’s, he collects them.” Her friend gave me a bizarre look. I jokingly said some guys like breasts I like to see a woman in a pair of high-heels.
Why do woman wear heels? First off, I think less than 5% of women wear heels—that makes me sad. Of the ones that do, I believe most do for fashion reasons—they’re in style and they do make them feel sexy. I’ve known a few short women who wear them solely to gain a little extra height. Women who get the “fetish thing,” well the phrase “statically insignificant” comes to mind—in other words there isn’t enough to count—that makes me even sadder.
Does it distract me when a woman wears a really sexy pair of high heels out-and-about? Hell yeah. I’ll follow her all over a store to keep catching a glimpse. It’s intoxicating. If I’m driving and see a woman walking, I’ll sometimes masturbate in my car. The best is sexy office girls having lunch at an outside restaurant where I park right in front of them (as little as twelve feet away) and take my time jerkin it. Oh what a rush.
Should women refrain from wearing such distracting heels in public? HELL NO, and to even think it is blasphemy. I hope this fad of wearing ultra-high-heels will last forever and I curse the notion of flip-flops or masculine type shoes like boots (which were the trend in the 90’s) coming back.

It's refreshing to know there's other guys out there who are instantly turned on 'sexually' by the sight of a woman in heels. I wouldn't go as far as to say I'd masturbate in my car, but I totally get where you're coming from. For me, its the first thing I do as soon as I get home, and it sure-as-hell relieves some tension.

I'm with you Dan. If I see only one lady with a nice pair of heels on it seriously throws me off course. It's so bizarre! I end up looking around making it obvious to anyone who may be looking at me at the time that I am not looking at this lady's shoes! I get so self-concious, and must look odd to anyone else as I bumble away from the area. All other thoughts I had go out the window!
I think I need help! :-)

Hey....I didnt know we had that kind of an effect on you boytoys....actually I do... I love to make a guy look at my feet and try to get him to follow me....sometimes they squirm in their chairs at meetings while I dig my heel into the carpet....or dig it into a wood desk leg....I love to watch a guy get hard for me... I also try to make specially loud noise with my metal heels when I walk on concrete or marble floors....AND I love to heel stand on wood floors. I once caught this guy on his hands and knees looking at the marks I made on the wood floors with myheel tips...hahahaa We own you guys when we wear our spike heels.

And thanks for your input Miss Gina xx You've confirmed what I always thought - women know what they do to us guys when they wear heels. At times though, you have to admit, it's just not fair. Too much of a cocktease. Unless, of course, she's willing and would enjoy a discreet fuck? But then again, that just doesn't happen in real life. I'll keep on dreaming!

Problem is, I think of every lady who's wearing sexy heels as wearing 'fuck me heels', but this surely isn't the case, so I find it very difficult to know where the line is drawn, especially when they are worn in the workplace etc. Women must wear them for something, otherwise they wouldn't go through the apparent pain they cause wearing them!

and this is where you have to be careful... women wearing heels dont always wear them cos they want a fuck.. the heels themselves are beautiful and to own and wear a pair of shoes you love is a feeling in itself, doesnt always matter what anyone else thinks of them, if you love them and love to wear them then its the individuals choice... not all women wear heels for the kind of attention you are talking about.
if you saw your mother in heels would that mean she wanted a fuck?? you are seeing the heels and assuming the women wearing them are fair game this is dangerous thinking.

Thanks Sluttyheels, and this is why I always take the safe route and assume it's not, as, like you say, I wouldn't think of my Mother wearing them for any sexual reason.
It is confusing, so it can be a real pain when I find them such a turn on!
