(first of all, apologies for the blind or ignorant title as it's a little harsh - I tried to change it but can't)
You know, in our continuing effort to keep internet images off this site, it amazes me when we still find people trying to join using them. Like the one guy requesting an upgrade just below with his 14 repeat images - all of which are net images. As well as another I have just found
But what amazes me EVEN more - is how regular members with their own decent pics, are willing to write on these peoples walls saying "great pics - would love to see more!" or "wow - feet in heels, a 10 from me" or words to that effect. I mean - most pics on here are feet in heels but we do have rules so I wonder if these regular members actually know the rules, or simply do not care about them to encourage this infuriating activity?
I would expect these regulars with great pics of their own, to be able to spot internet images a mile off, and not encourage them. After all, regular members have taken the time to make and post their own great picturs so why encourage the lazy people who ignore our rules and put the site at risk by posting illegal pictures?
Its hard enough trying to keep these images off this site without long standing members encouraging non premium members to post more by writing such praise on their walls the minute they post their unimaginative, illegal, stolen and dissalowed internet images.

have to agree with you there, I am surprised that genuine members seem to happily comment and vote on what are obviously web pics...definitely disappointing...

I was going to put some names on this thread but that is not the way to go. I have contacted several members individually who I/we consider valued assets to the site, to ask if they actually know the rules, don't care about them or just cant spot the difference between a blatant internet image and an approriate amateur one which this site is all about

For every 'decent' member there'll be another who'll try-it-on! And another who doesn't know the internet pics rule. And another who just doesn't give a toss either way.
Actually, there isn't any good reason to use others' photos, though laziness may be behind it. I'll wager almost every man and every woman on this site will have at least a small shoe collection - simply because they're on here in the first place. Photograph those!
Go to the shopping mall with a camera-phone and snap away taking candids. Surely there'd be 20 pics amongst that lot?
I've increasingly noticed members pointing out transgressers on these boards so Mods should have an increasingly easy job of weeding them out!

PS. Actually, it's quite good fun and often quite erotic shoe spotting. Just take a camer, too.

u might aswell categorise me as ignorant :-) i dont spend all my waking hours searching the net for web finds so i dont always know the difference - dont try to cover for anyone WAS, if they are anything like me they probably dont know and need to be named.. but not necessarily shamed... messages on profiles are honest reactions to good pictures

SH - yes I agree with that statement. I just thought long term members with good amateur pics would know the difference as come on, most are obvious even to a novice. It doesn't take skill to spot. So even through I agree with you statement, I just guess I expect if people know the rules then they wouldn't encourage it. Perhaps I just expect too much of life. ha

The basic principle of Copyright is that one person cannot use another person's work without their permission. That extends to all forms media (TV, still pics, music, written works, etc) as far as I understand the issue.
So, again as I see it, the use of another's image on here is technically stealing even though the theft isn't for monetary gain.
So HSS decided to ban images that are not the contributor's own work. And quite right too! (Policing that ban ain't so easy, tho, I guess.)
Also, that ban serves to inflate the interlectual value of the site because it encourages new and personal images to be posted, rather than a string of pics nicked from someone else.
And finally, as I said before, gathering those original pics can be fun and is very often erotic in itself.

Main reason for not wanting Internet downloads is that most porn is so boring and "unreal". Pics on this site are "real" in the sense that they haven't been made by models for money. And that makes the pictures MUCH more sexy!! IMHO.

i'm here goofing around..and start voting on member pics, if i do see a "net pic" i'll notify the member and give it a 1 just to move on to the next pic..now I can't talk for everyone but there are those of us who fight the battle quietly.. besides if their wasn't something to bitch about! there would be nothing to talk about.
