So I had a pic with an 8 and now it has a 4.5.. means that somebody gave it a 1!!.
What's that about? I did wonder if it was just a rubbish pic or maybe if some one was marking me down deliberately for some obscure reason.

yeah, they are out there. I gave up on it and turned off voting. The only thing that matters is the comments anyways. Oh..I turned that off too. haha.

If you go through the forums, you'll see that problem has been going on forever. Ignore it or turn off voting if it bugs you too much.

It has been sugegsted that this is driven by jealously.. yes my legs are somewhat brilliant, I admit that, and so too are my Mrs's.. so we get 4 great legs in one shot.. if that's what motivates people then they are welcome to be so small minded.

I vote on some others I do not vote at all really bad pictures I will not even think about putting on at all. My profile has what I would call some naff pics but they are clipped from vidieos I would not expect them to be good just sort of nice and anyone who would like the videos can have them they only have to ask. But shit votes on some of the pictures I have seen here are really not on.

Well as it's been said already, this is an age old problem that bugs alot of us. In the end you just seem to have to put up with it or turn your voting bar off. It's such a shame as i think it's a great fun part of the site but alas it is ruined by a few.
Rikki i think the pics your posting are a breath of fresh air, great fun great shoes and very sexy too. There will be alot of jealous people out there for sure, take it as a compliment !!

A picture of a shoe yep ok its a shoe what are voting for artistic quality or the shoe but then again I think a picture of a shoe without a foot in it is a bit dull.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. i know it's an old old subject but humour me as I am new here. I do try to make my/our pics sexy and arty at the same time.. we spend ages setting them up and getting ready and then have a big job settling on the best ones. It's a long job but I love it. My Mrs takes the pics as it's her camera and she's very good with it I think. I just pose around in stockings and heels (the easy bit.. lol)

it is a stupid subject because some people behave stupidly... cross voting, getting rid of competition by voting 1's... etc etc ad infinitum... but the point is it will never go away as a forum subject because nothing is ever done to remedy it... so the stupid people win... no deterrant...

Perhaps voting should be cumulative, rather than averaged out. If people liked a pic, they have one whole vote to say so. The best pics will rise to the top as more people vote for them. Maximum of 3 votes per day?

This bugs me as well. I vote 10 on most pics as I understand how much effort and money has been put into posting these pics. These people who vote 1 and think it's funny really need to go to another site. Can the site track who these people are and send them a warning? I don't think I have ever seen a photo here that deserves a low vote.

I have a couple of pictures men in heels that have a vote of 10 on them how ever when you look at top men in heels they are not listed at all the highest is about 9.7 SOOOOOOOOOOO how does that work out because I sure dont know and I have a degree in maths.
An I really couldnt give a monkey's any way.

I've wondered that, too, about my pics and I'm crap at maths! ;-))
I make a vote on how *I* respond to the image in question. If it grabs the imagination I'll vote high. If it doesn't but it's a good shot i'll vote medium. If it's a subject that I don't like and / or it's a poor shot in some way I'll vote low.
I cannot abide shoes up the ass shots nor anything else to do with scat. And an out of focus pic of 1 trainer shoe is about as pointless as it gets!
Just how I see it.

I have not voted low an anyones pics yet.. I think I will leave that to others, if I don't like it I won't vote at all.. I don't vote on lots though cos I am more a fan of stockings and lingerie than shoes, I guess you can tell that from my pics..

my main pic had 22 votes at 7.8, 23 to 7.2 now 24 to 6.75.. there are some petty minded people on this site that is for sure.. what the hell is that all about I say again.. can only be jealousy..

That was just what i said to another member who had the same. In the end you know your pics are great and so do most members on here, so just keep posting what you like to do and see and have fun with it. Voting like idiots is the longest running theme we have on here which is such a shame.

That would be unworkable. 1 in 5 pics are a 1? Perhaps someone only votes rarely and gives a ten here and there If they think something is exceptional, but I know some people vote more on what repulses them so they give a 1. You can't ban someone for expressing opinion that they dislike something. There are those who think that if people don't like something then they should just move on, but that defeats the purpose of voting at all as I've said many times. If people are free to express like, then they are free to express dislike as well. If you want voting, then be prepared to take the negatives as well as positives and unfortunately there will be some who vote people 1 for many reasons. Hence, i turn mine off as you can't please everyone annthe time and until people accept this, there will never be a good resolution to this issue.

simple first step: only allow premium members to vote. It will also prevent non-premium members from seeing all pictures (they can only see 5 pictures from a given profile, but I don't think that restriction exists when you go through the "Rate shoe shots" links)

I tend to vote above average, on the basis that if I am moved enough to express myself by voting, it should be a mark of approval. If I came across something that made me want to give it 1 I would be too busy reaching for the sick bucket.to vote
If somebody finds 20% of the material on this site that offensive, it may be that this site is not for them

I just don't understand the mentality of anyone who votes but only votes good. It completely defeats the purpose in which case I've made the suggestion a hundred times to just have a like button rather than a scale. But then the competition people disagree with that. But it still boils down to the fact that if you don't vote badly as you are too busy looking for the next button, then if you find something amazing aren't you too busy doing something else to vote ten? It makes no sense what so ever having a voting scale if you only use 5-10. If people are entitled to vote ten then they are also just as entitles to vote 0. You can't have everything as most people I talk to express their displeasure through voting as much as they do pleasure. Perhaps you are not the only exception but I just don't see any point only voting things good. It completely defeats the purpose of the system.

On reflection it might be that when the voting system was implemented it was intended that 1 was mildly interested and 10 was "meltdown". It appears to have to have morphed into a 1 vote meaning active repulsion. If that's the case, then a 5 vote is a vote for apathy. If the vote scale ran from -5 to +5 that maybe more representative of how it is being used.
