Whats important to you in rating photo's here onHot Shoe Shots?
I think number 1 would be in your belief
in original shots or one's copied from the web?
one I come across them I vote 1or do You think that they deserve nothing, being that Your not suppose to post them?
Does the Picture quality affect your rating?I mean if a hot pair of high heels are all fuzzy and dark do You deduct or give them the bone No vote or really low?
What if your voting on a particular photo of a group that You dont care for.Do You
Move on or give them Your opinion?
Or do You only vote on the groups that You do care for?
Remember dont be a corpse in the water and Bloat?

Well when it comes to voting, there are many "rights" and "wrongs". It seems that if there is a particular thread of pics that don't appeal to you and you vote them all ones, Then the person who posted those pics gets bent out of shape and complains that they are only receiving ones. But if you don't like them and you vote them all 10's, then you are doing wrong by your self. So lies the problem.
When it comes to voting, if there is a pic or a thread that I don't care for I just skip it. If it is something I like I vote accordingly.
As for web finds. If you or anyone else comes across a pic you suspect to be a web find, let ShoeJack, or an administrator know the profile it is on so the decision can be made what to do about it. I personally do not vote on web finds.
As far as quality, there are times that a lower vote is posted due to this. It could be that the pic is really blurred or that it is too small. But I still rarely vote a 1 on anything. I suppose it is really up to you the user to decide how to vote for any pic. Just remember that when you vote a one, there is going to be someone that is upset by it.....

quality doesnt always come into it, its more a feeling that the picture portrays... to me anyway. as for the one votes they are used as a forward button the majority of times im sure, no thought for the angst or consequences on the average scores.. this subject has gone on for a very long time with no solution as you can clearly read in threads on assorted forums over time

The 1-10 scale needs to change to a thumbs up and thumbs down. Limp or Rock hard.
If you get a '1' vote, don't cry about it on an open forum.

Dont think most of us who have complained are crying over the silly 1 votes. But some of enjoy trying to get a good pic on a leader board, no harm in that i dont think.
The scoring idea is a good feature on here and meant to add to the overall interaction of the site, there are many great pics that get votes they don't deserve just because some members seem to like to pee off others. If people are using the 1 button as a skip then why not use the 5 at least so its a middle vote.

Made the above comment then got a vote of two for a perfectly good pic showing my wife in her red soled slings in long socks and even a bit of leg. Proves the there are some real F****** plonkers out there!! got to feel sorry for them if that's how they get there kicks.

My current main pic and most of the other ones are drawing the votes they deserve. Some lower, some higher.
Before, I had a pic of me in heels and pantyhose that was clearly posted under "men in heels" (not even TV/CD). That one immediately draw a 10 and then two ones soon after, after which I chose a different main pic in order not to get it completely voted down. I think that some "extremely hetero" people who can't stand the slightest male element in the pics came across it and voted 1 as sign of their disapproval.. Maybe they used "show all" and didn't expect to see that kind of stuff. This sort of discouraged me of making more pics of that kind. Too bad.
Also, if people use "1" for skipping, why not just add a "skip" button?

i wouldnt let anyone put you off posting pictures you like to post... please yourself first... is the general rule, if u think its a good picture then go for it and ignore the saddo votes, you can always recoup the low votes with normal ones so your average wont drop significantly, if that is your concern... just express yourself.
as for the skip button.. its been asked for on numerous occasions, but there has been a lack of agreement, so no action on it.

what is a saddo? As for my low rated sneaky shot, I'm just curious why it was scored low. Are you a professional and know how to take a good sneaky shot and mine was so bad that I need training? Do you not like the heels?

and my main pic was a new one and I was voted a 2. That's better than "What a crappy pic, it shouldn't be on the site", but worse than, "Pic is ok, but not your best"
It's not my fault she has a big ass! :(

I am having the same problems. I have a few pics of me posted but the majority are of my wife. I'm not a profesional photographer nor is she a profesional model. She just loves to pose for me because she likes to please me and I love to post her pics because I love to show her off. Unfortunaly she gets a little discouraged when she sees low scores. I personaly think it's someone that is jelous and is afraid that my pics might outrank theirs. I think you should be able to see who voted on your pic and what score they gave you. Then we can see who the "haters" are.
