why is there people with only one pic or stupid pics of just bare feet get rated 6.1 . when there are way better pics that show more have a 4.5 rating??? i been here since 2007 and i think i have some good real pics, and no web shots. in stuck at 5.5.

No the Captain does not fix the voting but its certainly not perfect but keep in mind for a free site the tool options here are pretty nice Issue is there's now some 80K of photos posted on his free site which is way too many to regulate himself daily. So we help him as possible to keep our eyes on the shoes! Part of the solution would most likely cost more money or labor & time and then would the site still be free? In perspective, although you started a new thread this has been fully debated now for years with tons of subjective opinions. Also consider all the preferences as you can imagine from all the different types of members who love shoes of varying kinds here on a fetish sex site and well you see it all here. And maybe thats part of the draw, seeing others from all over the world who share in your fetish but in different ways you did not imagine! OH YEAH! Your shots are good originals, pretty lady and hot boots. You could use a photo editor to correct the lighting, contrast and color on some, google IRFANVIEW which is a great free editor. But that's not really the issue as your original efforts are good compositions indeed and all the members heel lovers thank you !! A few of the top rated shots were from when less people posted and more people voted & your posted shot came around more often. Also, say in Strappy Sandals category more photos are posted in number there so its harder to get to the top of the shoe pile. Also unfortunately a few members instead of clicking by a photo they don't wish to view vote it low without fully thinking of the efforts of others. So again you hit the most hotly debated issues here at the site and progress has been made on some previous suggestions. Please read into the older threads on this voting issue also for the history behind voting concerns here at the site. Just know we all appreciate your posts and input. I am sure the Captain could add some reasoning here, but I gave this a shot today. STU

Thanks Stu. I can say categorically that the voting is not fixed, I certainly don't have time to do so, and more to the point - to what end.
It takes a lot of votes to move a score even a few points which is strangely good as this averaging means that members are on a even playing field whether they have just joined or been here for several years, and whether they post a number of pics or just a few.
The real issue I feel for your original post is that it can be difficult for other members to find your profile, and therefore it can be annoying to see little change on the leader boards.
I will be providing additional ways for your profile to be easily found, but in the mean time you have actually found the real key - post a thread on the forums and a huge number of members will view and vote on your profile.
Although it can be frustrating, it is telling that the votes we receive for our pics mean so much. Keep having fun, and keep posting. Many thanks SJ

From looking at the numbers only and how they can move I see a different issue.
I will use an example here. I have a shot of a pair of matching mules alone in the shot, tagline on them is LOVE AND MATCH. I was running on 4 votes as TENS on all four votes this am. Today I must have got a one vote from someone since it dropped down to 8.2 tonight. Thats the average of the five votes. So just one vote can really drop you down fast. You can only make it up with other much higher votes on all the later votes on a 10 vote count to get posted. Normally you really need a min 8.0 to get posted to a leader board normally so expanding the total vote count required also just increases the odds of added low votes so thats not the solution either. Not with so many members and shots now. Like with some judging sometimes you might just need a shoe judge panel who know shoes intimately. Wheres that Chepol or Lisa when you need them ? So its not so much the shots as the random judges doing this voting with lots of other stuff distracting them at the same time. Shaggers!! or hey some just dont care or are voting on so many standards of personal criteria who can tell or say....

seems no matter what you try you are not going to get the votes u want... like has been said so many times before... ignore the one voters, they dont represent the majority of members here, i know it can be annoying especially when you have posted a really good picture, but it seems to be the way of the world, yr not gonna please all the people all the time so just please yourself :-) quality will always find a way

It is getting difficult to get votes, high or low scores. What do you think about requiring members to cast a minimum of 10 votes per week or some other number per month to stay as premium members?

I agree the voting is annoying,i constantly get 1 votes for pictures i posted so now i really don't give a shit if people like them or not,i'm not here to be voted king-i just wanna share my pictures and stories with likeminded fetish enthusiasts-turn the voting off i reckon,this would save a lot of heartache.

it is getting harder to get votes on pictures other than your main pic... i would hate to see the voting system go altogether, but it looks like that might happen unless something radical happens...

the picture on the home page now is a definate ten in my book, red patent stilettos gorgeous...and the composition of the picture is beautiful...just voted and the average voting has been 6.3! theres just no knowing what other people think of individual pictures at all..

I have seen a site where you just vote "Like" if you like a picture, if you dont then you just dont vote, the more "Likes" the higher the score for that picture. Maybe thats an idea worth thinking about during this revamping period. I'm sure it has been suggested before but i just thought it would save a whole load of trouble and keep things simple of course.

I do wish more people would put captions on their photos. Even where it's obvious what the photo shows, it's nice to have a bit of context or background to it - even if only to say who it is wearing the shoes.
